Julie Zeitlin is a lifelong songwriter and performing musician.

A Los Angeles native, Julie moved to Nashville in 1999 and wrote for publishers including Ash Street Music, Writer Zone, and Tom Collins Music. Refusing to let a little thing like being from West Hollywood come between her and a great country song, her successes include top 40 country hit “I Only Have Good Days,” recorded by The Roys. Julie also writes in other genres, including jazz, blues, soul, pop, and children’s songs.

Julie is a founding member of Nashville’s music trio East Side Story. Since 2008, this act has played its fun mix of soul, blues, rock and groove at dozens of Nashville venues, from the most prestigious (The Frist museum, Antique Archaeology, Hotel Indigo) to the most decadent (Bobby’s Idle Hour, Brown’s Diner, Dino’s).

Julie met Muffin in the early 1990s while playing L.A.’s acoustic music scene. Fate soon made them cowriters, friends, and pretty-much-family. Julie is very proud of her many cowrites with Muffin, which include three songs on this album—“Never Be the Same,” “Angel’s Heart” and “For the Rest of Our Love.”

Julie is also an award-winning copywriter, editor and journalist
